"Superman" Tylan Wallace Says He'll Stay At OSU For 2020 Season

For the last month or so sources inside the OSU football program had said they strongly felt All-American wide receiver Tylan Wallace would return to the Cowboys instead of declaring for the NFL draft. On New Year's Day Wallace confirmed all the talk.

“We are building something special in Stillwater, and I’m not ready to leave because this is where I belong,” Wallace wrote on his Twitter page that also featured the hashtag "Superman Returns".

“I’m after a Big 12 championship in 2020," he wrote, "and I believe we have the team to do it.”

That team could be even better if Wallace's teammate All-American running back Chuba Hubbard also decides to remain in Stilly. He faces a January 20th deadline to declare for the NFL draft if that's what he wants to do.

Multiple media reports also say Wallace's position coach Kasey Dunn, has changed his mind and will remain at OSU instead of accepting the offensive coordinator job at UNLV. Sources hint several other dominoes could fall in the coming days both in the coaching ranks and recruiting.

This week the Cowboys struck gold through the transfer portal when former 4-star Putnam City High School defensive end Collin Clay decided to transfer to OSU from Arkansas and All-Big12 offensive lineman Josh Sills made the decision to leave West Virginia for the Cowboys.

Wallace was heading toward another fantastic season in 2019 with 53 catches for 903 yards and eight touchdowns before tearing his ACL in practice after the eighth game of the season. He was not expected to be physically ready to participate in the NFL combine nor in OSU's pro day and that may have made his decision to stick with the Cowboys a little easier.
