The new look Thunder will face their old coach in tonight's home opener as Scott Brooks brings his Washington Wizards to town.
Both teams are coming off season opening losses, the Wizards to the Mavs in Dallas and the Thunder to the Jazz in Utah.
The Thunder played better than most folks figured they would and had several chances to win the game but couldn't quite get over the hump down the stretch.
Chris Paul, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Danilo Gallinari combined for 69 points but their teammates managed just 26. Steven Adams and Dennis Schroder had dismal shooting nights combing for just six points on 2-for-16 shooting. Adams also struggled at the free throw line missing five of his six attempts, Schroder didn't get to the line.
All of that will need to be better tonight. Tipoff set for 7:10 at The Peake and you can see the game on Fox Sports Oklahoma.
