Thunder Game Report for Tuesday

PHOTO/Getty Images

The Thunder are getting set to face another shorthanded, bad team tonight...they've not fared well in those situations lately, losing to both Memphis and Dallas in recent days. Those teams that were playing without most of their regulars. Tonight the LA Lakers come in and will be without LeBron James, Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram, Josh Hart, Tyson Chandler and possibly Kyle Kuzma. The Thunder have lost 7 of their last 9 and are just 11-13 this season against Western Conference teams that wont make the playoffs. Still Paul George says he and his teammates are upbeat. You can hear what he had to say in today's Thunder Game Report.

No matter how the Thunder respond tonight or in the four games to follow it's going to be difficult for the team to make juch of a move up the standings. Both Utah and Portland won last night so OKC is now 5 games behind the Blazers and Rockets for 3rd and 4th place with 5 games to play...The Thunder trail Utah by 3 games and the Clippers by 2 and-a-half. They're tied with the Spurs for 7th but San Antonio has the tiebreaker. Tipoff tonight at 7:15 on TNT.
