The Thunder were good for most of yesterday afternoon in their game at Minnesota and then later in the day AFTER that game...they were lucky.
The good was that 132-126 win over the T-Wolves and the lucky came last evening when the lowly Lakers beat Utah to keep the Jazz within range of OKC and the Clippers losing to the Warriors to fall behind the Thunder in the standings. All of that was plenty reason for Russell Westbrook to be a happy man.
Also the LA Times reported last evening that OU mens basketball coach Lon Kruger has interviewed for the vacant head coaching job at UCLA. Kruger responded by issuing a statement saying "I have not interviewed with UCLA, nor have I had any contact with anyone from UCLA." Sounds like fake news from the LA Times.
Also we hear from Texas Tech coach Chris Beard about his Red Raiders playing for the NCAA mens basketball championsip tonight and OU quarterback Jalen Hurts talks about the challenges he's embracing as he works to become the Sooners starter for this coming season. It's all in this morning's sports.
