Thunder Game Report for Monday

For a while yesterday it looked like the Thunder had a deal in place to re-sign backup center Nerlens Noel...turns out Noel may have had a change of heart and asked the Thunder for more time to think about according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski. However it looks like OKC does have an agreement in place with free agent forward/center Mike Muscala. All the details in today's Thunder Game Report...

Here's how things unfolded on Twitter with the Deal/No Deal with Noel and then the deal with Mike Muscala...

And this interesting tidbit from Minneapolis TV Sports reporter Darren Wolfson...

Muscala is 6-11, 240 and is a decent stretch-4...or 5. He's a career 36.5% 3-point shooter and has averaged 5.9 points and 2.6 rebounds a game in six seasons in the NBA. Some of you might remember but most of you probably don't...Muscala was part of the three-team trade last July with the Thunder, Sixers and Hawks that brought Dennis Schroder to OKC. Muscala went to Philly...then ended last season with the Lakers. In the 2016-17 season with Atlanta, Muscala hit 41.8% of his threes, the Thunder would LOVE a repeat performance of that stat.

The Thunder would also love to bring Noel back but a new deal has to work financially, it's believed the two sides will continue talking and the agreement with Muscala likely impacts Patrick Patterson's future with OKC more than Noel's. Patterson has struggled to maintain playing time mostly because he's also struggled with his shooting during his time in Oklahoma City. Last season he shot a career-low 37.4% overall and 33.6% on threes...the second worst of his career.
