OU coach Lincoln Riley says the quarterback competition for the Sooners was perhaps the closest he's seen. But Riley says Jalen Hurts was just "slightly better" than Tanner Mordecai who will be OU's backup. Spencer Rattler, the high profile freshman, will be 3rd team though he also was impressive at times.

In Morning Sports we hear what Riley had to say about his new QB1 and we'll also hear from Mike Gundy in Stillwater who is still saying the competition between Dru Brown and Spencer Sanders is still too close to call and that if the season started right now "they'd both play."

A former Sooner QB wins the starting job at West Virginia and a former OSU baseball pitcher has a huge game in Arlington against the Texas Rangers, plus Alex Freedman has our Dodgers update. That and more in today's OKC Morning Sports...
