This could be a historic week for basketball recruiting at OSU...in fact it probably already is with what happened Tuesday evening when 5-star combo guard Cade Cunningham committed to play basketball for Mike Boynton's Cowboys.
Cunningham is ranked as either the #1 or #2 high school player in the country depending on which recruiting service you're reading. Some NBA draft projections are also listing Cunningham as the likely #1 pick in the 2021 NBA draft if Cunningham decides to leave school after one season.
Remember just a few days ago 4-Star shooting guard Rondell Walker announced he would play basketball for OSU next season and 5-star Tulsa Washington point guard Bryce Thompson has the Cowboys in his "final four" college choices and is supposed to be in Stillwater for Wednesday's regular season opener against ORU. Cunningham and Walker are scheduled to be at Gallagher-Iba Arena for Saturday's game.
Cunningham made his announcement via social media.
