Riley Staying With Sooners As Cowboys Pick Mike McCarthy

Sooner fans can breathe easy...despite reports that OU coach Lincoln Riley was high on the Dallas Cowboys head coaching wish list....according to multiple media reports the Cowboys have hired longtime former Packers coach Mike McCarthy to replace Jason Garrett.

There's been no official announcement from the Cowboys or McCarthy but those same media reports say McCarthy has already signed a five year deal and that Dallas has also brought in veteran NFL assistant Mike Nolan to run the defense. Nolan was head coach of the 49ers for a couple of seasons and is the son of longtime Dallas assistant Dick Nolan who coached under Tom Landry.

Another tough night for the OSU mens basketball team. We'll hear from Mike Boynton. The Cowboys lost to West Virginia 55-41, the fewest the Cowboys have scored in any game since a 1999 Big 12 Tournament game against Kansas and the first time they scored so few points at home since 1969.

The Thunder also took it on the chin last night. Their five game winning streak ended with a 120-113 loss in Philadelphia we hear from Billy Donovan. The Thunder play at the Brooklyn Nets tonight.

And there will be womens Bedlam in Stillwater Wednesday night. All that and more in today's OKC Local Morning Sports....
