Gallinari, Schroder Stay in OKC, Thunder Host Pistons Tonight

The Oklahoma City Thunder roster remains the same after the NBA trade deadline, something no one thought would be the case going into the season.

Everyone figured Danilo Gallinari would be traded for sure because of his talents and his expiring contract. The Thunder did get serious with the Miami Heat about a deal for Gallo. So serious that according to several reports Gallinari's agent discussed a contract extension with the Heat. No deal was struck and the Thunder may not have gotten everything they'd wanted from the Heat anyway so no trade was made.

Reports from Los Angeles indicated the Thunder and Lakers got into talks about Dennis Schroder, who is the leading candidate to be the league's Sixth Man of the Year, but those discussions didn't get very far.

Steven Adams was mentioned as possibly being a target of the Atlanta Hawks.

In the end the Thunder declined offers or were rebuffed because asking prices were too high. After all management wasn't really desperate at this point to make a move at all. OKC is tied for 6th place in the Western Conference and is just two games out of 4th.

The Thunder have won eight of their last nine games and host the Detroit Pistons tonight at 7 o'clock. More on that game in today's Thunder Game Report...
