Enos Semore, Winningest OU Baseball Coach, Dies At 94

Enos Semore, who's been described as the winningest baseball coach in O-U's program history is dead. Semore died Saturday at 94. Semore coached at O-U from 1968 to 1980, taking the Sooners to 14 NCAA tournaments and seven Big Eight titles. Under Semore, the team also played in five consecutive College World Series match-ups in the 1970s. Semore was named Big Eight Coach of the year in 1989 and was inducted into the American Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 2005 and the OklahomaSports Hall of Fame in 2025. OU retired Semore's Number 24 jersey last season.
