After winning 26 games for the sixth time in program history and reaching the American Conference semifinals for the first time in over a decade, Tulsa has earned a No. 1 seed in the NIT. It's Tulsa's first postseason appearance since 2015-16 and the program's first NIT appearance since 2014-15.

The Golden Hurricane will host Southland Conference regular season champion Stephen F. Austin on Tuesday at 8 p.m., with the game airing on ESPNU. It will be the fourth meeting between the schools all-time, with SFA leading the series 1-2 and the first meeting since 2016.

Tulsa has won the NIT twice, 1981 under Nolan Richardson and 2001 under Buzz Peterson.
