Cowboys Shout "Chuba Dooba Dooo" As Hubbard Returns

Maybe it was all those Canadian flag emojis...maybe it was all the direct messages on social media from thousands of OSU students and fans...or maybe it was just a feeling of not wanting to leave teammates behind with unfinished business to attend to.

Whatever the reason or combination of factors All-American running back Chuba Hubbard, the nation's leading rusher last season, will saddle up and ride again for the OSU Cowboys.

His return means the Cowboys will have an All-American at running back and another one at wide receiver. Tylan Wallace, who injured a knee last season while on his way to another big year, is also passing on the NFL for now. Spencer Sanders, the Cowboys redshirt freshman quarterback, also returns along with many other offensive teammates and most of the players on defense.

Cornerback Rodarius Williams announced his return on Friday and the Cowboys have announced veteran wide receivers coach Kasey Dunn has been promoted to offensive coordinator after turning down a move to UNLV making it a clean sweep for Mike Gundy in trying to retain key members of his team and coaching staff.

Gundy was part of ESPN's coaches film room during the national championship game last night. We hear from him in Morning Sports.

Plus Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander with a historic performance in OKC's 117-104 win at Minnesota. We hear from Shai and from head coach Billy Donovan.

Plus Astros owner Jim Crane fires Midwest City native AJ Hinch as manager of the Astros and does the same with GM Jeff Luhnow after Major League Baseball suspends both men for a year following an investigation onto a sign stealing scandal.

All that and more in today's Morning Sports.
