The New York Knicks came back from 20 points down to edge the Celtics in Game 1 of their Eastern Conference Semifinal last night as the Celtics couldn’t hit the broad side of a barn, missing a whopping 45 3-point attempts. Dan thinks they may have wanted to consider attacking the rim a little more often instead of simply launching a barrage of bricks.
Dan Patrick: “How ‘bout you go for a two? How ‘bout you instruct your players to maybe run something inside and not just perimeter jumpers here? They are a really good 3-point shooting team, but when you’re not then there has to be a point where you go, ‘OK, maybe we should stop shooting 3’s, it’s not our night.’”
